The aim of the study is to determine, by means of structural modelling, the impact(direction and strength) of the introduced (during the COVID-19 pandemic) restric-tions related to the crossing of the Polish-Czech border in the area of the EuroregionCieszyn Silesia – Těšínské Slezsko on the functioning of separate cross-border markets(labor, health services and small enterprises) and, subsequently, on the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Euroregion. For the purpose of the thesis, quantity research wasconducted on a sample of 2,109 inhabitants of the region (1,109 inhabitants of the Pol-ish side and 1,000 inhabitants of the Czech side). Data obtained were subjected to fac-tor analysis and structural equation modelling (SEM). The result of the SEM analysisconfirmed that the introduced (during the COVID-19 pandemic) restrictions relatedto the crossing of the Polish-Czech border in the area of the Cieszyn Silesia – TěšínskéSlezsko Euroregion had a negative (destimulating) effect on the functioning of sepa-rated cross-border markets, with the consequent deterioration of life of inhabitants ofthe Polish and Czech side of the Euroregion.
