Niniejszy artykuł stawia sobie za cel zarysowanie mennictwa Hohenzollernów w księstwie karniowskim, które pod względem bitych w nim typów monet należało do jednych z najobszerniejszych na Śląsku. Szeroka ich skala świadczy nie tylko o osiągnięciu przez tych władców wysokiego poziomu gospodarczego, który umożliwiał im podjęcie tego typu działań, ale także o potrzebie reprezentacji własnego rodu oraz zaznaczenia swojej pozycji na ziemiach Korony Czeskiej, a szczególnie swojej niezależności od czeskiego króla.

This article aims to outline the coinage of the Hohenzollerns in the Duchy of Krnov (Jägerndorf), which, in terms of the types of coins minted there, was among the most extensive in Silesia. Their wide range testifies not only to these rulers achieving a high level of economic development that enabled them to undertake such activities but also to their need to represent their own dynasty and mark their position in the lands of the Bohemian Crown, particularly their independence from the Bohemian king.
