This scientific monograph provides a look at how the interconnection between quality of life, economic and social factors and smart technologies can lead to improved living conditions and a better future for all. The aim of the scientific monograph is to analyse the quality of life of the citizens of the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic in the turbulent period from 2018 to 2023. The presented scientific monograph is part of a scientific project funded by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic. The monograph is based on the aims and objectives defined in the scientific project VEGA 1/0055/22 entitled: “The importance of smart technologies in the process of mitigating the economic and socio-psychological impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life of population.” The scientific project is being carried out at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Public Administration, Department of Economics and Management of Public Administration.
