We are currently facing various forms of emergencies that affect the quality of life of the inhabitants. Their impacts can have a significant impact on physical, psychological and social health and can negatively affect people's quality of life. Preparedness and training are crucial not only for public authorities, but also for the inhabitants, in order to minimize the consequences of various crisis situations. Quality of life indicators include the quality of housing, which includes the factor of safety. In the context of security, it is important to focus attention, among other things, on the views of inhabitants and how emergencies affect their quality of life. This can help to ensure an improved quality of life for people who find themselves in or threatened by these situations. When public authorities and the inhabitants work together and coordinate, the negative impact of emergencies can be reduced, thereby ensuring safety and security for the inhabitants. The aim of this paper is to find out the impact of emergencies on the quality of life of the inhabitants. A questionnaire survey of inhabitants was used to determine the impact, and the information obtained was then analyzed and statistically evaluated. This allowed to propose solutions to improve the inhabitants' preparedness for emergencies and at the same time to improve their quality of life.
