Článek se pokouší vysvětlit jedinečnou situaci ve Slezsku, kde od poloviny 14. století stály hned vedle sebe dva hrady s velmi podobnými názvy, a to Fürstenberg a Fürstenstein. Kromě diskuse o stavu výzkumu a analýzy pramenných odkazů na oba hrady především ukazuje obecné pozadí podobné blízkosti a posloupnosti hradních toponym, zejména v Čechách a na Moravě. Tento český a moravský kontext je také opodstatněný, protože název Fürstenstein se objevuje krátce poté, co Bolko II. uzavřel v roce 1353 nástupnické dohody s Karlem IV. Výstavba hradu Fürstenstein vychází z těchto dohod, které předpokládaly postupné rozdělení moci ve Svidnicku a Javorsku mezi vévodu a jeho manželku a královské úředníky zastupující práva na území převedená prostřednictvím Anny Svidnické rodu na Lucemburský rod a českou korunu. Kromě těchto úvah je navržen původ názvu hradu Svojanov na Moravě (původně Fürstenberg) a hradu Cisy ve Slezsku.

T he article attempts to explain the unique situation in Silesia hosting since the mid-14th century two castles with very similar names, right next to each other, namely there were Fürstenberg and Fürstenstein. In addition to discussing the state of research and diagnos ing the related stalemate and analyzing source references to both castles, above all, it shows a general background for the similar proximity and succession of castle toponyms mainly in Bohemia and Moravia, while encountering many analogies to the situation from Silesia. T his Bohemian and Moravian context is also justified because the name Fürstenstein ap pears shortly after Bolko II concluded succession agreements with Charles IV in 1353. The construction of the castle stems from these agreements which assumed a gradual division of power in the duchies of Świdnica and Jawor between the duke and his wife, and royal officials representing the rights to the territories transferred through Anna of Świdnica to the House of Luxembourg and the Bohemian Crown. On top of these considerations, the origin of the name of Svojanov Castle in Moravia (originally Fürstenberg) and Cisy Castle in Silesia is proposed.
