Přednáška, uskutečněná 5. prosince pro žáky ZUŠ Polanka nad Odrou, pobočka Kyjovice, představila úvod do problematiky nejstarších ozdob a šperků v pravěku. Účastníci se seznámili s nejběžnějšími materiály, ze kterých byly ozdoby vyráběny – od kamene, kostí a paroží, přes jantar, mušlovinu až po kovy, zejména měď, bronz a zlato. Výklad se zaměřil na proměnu používaných surovin v průběhu pravěku, význam šperků v životě tehdejších lidí i na konkrétní archeologické nálezy, které nám umožňují rekonstruovat estetické vnímání pravěkých komunit. Přednáška tak nabídla přístupnou formou vhled do kulturních a estetických kořenů šperku, od prvotních přírodních materiálů až po sofistikovanější výrobní techniky doby bronzové.

The lecture, held on December 5th for students of the Elementary School of Arts Polanka nad Odrou, Kyjovice branch, presented an introduction to the topic of the oldest ornaments and jewellery in prehistory. Participants became familiar with the most common materials used for their production – from stone, bone and antler, through amber and shell, to metals such as copper, bronze and gold. The presentation focused on the transformation of raw materials throughout prehistory, the role of jewellery in the lives of prehistoric people, and specific archaeological finds that allow us to reconstruct the aesthetic perception of ancient communities. In this way, the lecture offered an accessible insight into the cultural and aesthetic roots of jewellery, from the earliest natural materials to the more sophisticated production techniques of the Bronze Age.
