The present volume Contemporary Approaches to Text Analysis constitutes the ninth collection of essays from M.A. students and scholars from the Institute of Foreign Languages at the Silesian University in Opava that is funded by the project Student Grant Competition SGS/7/2024. As a continuing endeavour, this monograph demonstrates the sustained intellectual vitality and diversity of academic research within our scholarly community. The papers presented here are largely based on previous conference presentations and reflect the interdisciplinary approaches that characterize contemporary philological inquiry. As in the previous volumes, this collection is organized into two main sections, English and German, introducing the authors in alphabetical order. While the German texts are introduced in the German introduction, the following outline presents the innovative research of M.A. students and scholars focusing on English text analysis, encompassing perspectives from literary criticism, linguistic analysis, and cultural studies.
