The article focuses on the analysis of textile and footwear fragments recovered by V. Dohnal from Grave No. 10/85 during the systematic archaeological investigation of Cathedral Hill in Olomouc. In 1985, a sondage was conducted along the southern wall of the ambulatory of St. Wenceslas Church. Ten skeletal graves were examined here, generally in superposition and mostly without grave goods. Grave No. 10/85 is exceptional in this context, as it contained several dozen textile fragments in addition to human remains. Based on analysis, the textile fragments were dated to around the mid- or late 15th century. The study indicates that the fabrics were primarily silk textiles originating from Italy or Spain. Interpretation of the original function of the finds suggests that the grave likely belonged to a church dignitary. Two pairs of footwear, roughly datable to the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, are also reportedly from the grave; however, they appear to be intrusive.
