9. ročník mezinárodní konference Média – Dějiny – Společnost zaměřené na mediální interpretaci a prezentaci historických témat se tentokrát zaměřil na téma Film a média jako nástroj manipulace. Na konferenci se představili přednášející odborníci z Česka, Slovenska, Polska a Německa. Konference nabídla pohled na vytyčené téma akce z různých perspektiv. Konferenční část propojila příspěvky historiků, mediálních oborníků, filmových teoretiků a filmových historiků s praktikujícími filmovými tvůrci. Zaměřili jsme se také na oblast vzdělávání, přičemž pohled na možnosti práce s filmem v historickém vzdělávání představili český, slovenský i polský didaktik. Akce přispěla ke zvýšení povědomí o česko-polských historických souvislostech, dokumentární a filmové produkci odrážející tematiku mediální manipulace a o současné situaci v oblasti problematiky mediální gramotnosti a vzdělávání k ní v obou zemích, přičemž tak mimo jiné přispěla ke vzájemné inspiraci v této oblasti.

The 9th annual international conference Media – History – Society, which focused on media interpretation and the presentation of historical topics, this time focused on the theme of Film and Media as Tools of Manipulation. The conference featured presentations by experts from Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, and Germany. It offered a view of the event's theme from various perspectives. The conference segment brought together contributions from historians, media experts, film theorists, and film historians with practising filmmakers. Additionally, we concentrated on education, with Czech, Slovak, and Polish educators sharing their views on the possibilities of working with film in historical education. The event helped raise awareness of Czechia-Poland historical connections, documentary and film production reflecting the theme of media manipulation, and the current state of media literacy and education in both countries, thereby fostering mutual inspiration in this area.
