Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the literary criticism based on comparison with literary history and theory, evolution, history and methodology of the discipline.

  • Plato and Aristotle on literature
    Philosophers on literature in the Classicim and Enlightenment periods
    Philosophy of literatury in 19th century
    20th century: Russian formalism, structuralism, New criticism.
