Course objectives
The course provides an outline of literary currents and movements in British literature from the Anglo-Saxon period to the present times. The emphasis is on generic and thematic richness of British literature from its beginnings till today.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to define the main features of British literature and will know its significant representatives and their works. Students will be able to perform analyses of texts from different time periods and genres. They will also know how to apply basic literary terms and use secondary sources.
