The lecture discusses the basic concepts of the structure of stars, their origin and development, including the final stages.

  • * Basic characteristics of stars. The Sun.
    * Hydrostatic equilibrium.
    * Stellar interiors, equations of state.
    * Sources of energy in stars. Nucleosynthesis.
    * Transfer of energy in stars.
    * Structure equations of stars.
    * Stellar atmospheres.
    * Creation of stars.
    * Evolution of a single star.
    * Final stages of stellar evolution.
    * Binary systems. Evolution of binaries.
    * Variable stars. Supernovas.
