Course objectives
The course deals with project administration in the library environment. During the course students work on the project and output will be reported in the final project report. The course is designed for master students of Library and Information Studies in the first year of the master's program. Selection of candidates is based on motivation letter. The basic requirement is an active participation on the project.

    1. Library information services and their social context. Measuring, categories and typology.
    2. Information need. User profilation, categorization and differentiation of services.
    3. Phases and methods of survey. Information needs research.
    4. VISK Ministry of Culture Program for libraries.
    5. New trends in services, Information Commons and e-services.
    6. Public relations and information services.
    7. Models of distribution of information and information retrieval.
