Předpokladem úspěšného absolvování předmětu je zvládnutí základů statistické fyziky, obecné teorie relativity a kvantové mechaniky. Předmět navazuje na Finální stádia evoluce hvězd I.

Course objectives
Course is recommended to students whose thesis is focused on neutron stars or similar topic. Basic concepts of white dwarf models and neutron star models are summarized. Internal structure, equations of state and their matching is discussed. Elemental theory of white dwarf and neutron star cooling, model of neutron star magnetic field is presented. Impact of rotation on structure of neutron star is investigated.

    Neutron star cooling.
    Neutron star models and how to test them using astronomical observations.
    Rotation of neutron stars and strange stars. Impact of rotation on structure of compact stars.
    Astrophysical processes around rotating neutron stars.
    Rotation spin of pulsars and its evolution.
