Course objectives
The definition of ethnography in connection with other social sciences. Nations, traditions and folk customs. The aspects of institutional ethnography, research institutes and memory institutions in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The methods of preservation, documentation, selection and presentation of ethnographic relics. Skansen as an open air museum, its history, specifics and perspectives.
