Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of this course is to familiarize the students with the specific language of the media. The course focuses on a theoretical introduction with the help of a list of topics from discourse analysis. In the seminars, most time is devoted to specific analyses and interpretations of the language of the media from various viewpoints such as phonetics or pragmatics. The analyzed material consists mainly of newspaper and advertisements texts.
