Course objectives

The aim of the course is to get a comprehensive and systematic overview of current multimedia technologies, their capabilities and applications.

Syllabus

- Historical introduction.
- Summary of analogue technology - principles, advantages and disadvantages, main categories and types of devices including their technical specifications, limits of analogue technology. Practice with choosen analogue technology.
- Summary of digital technology - principles, advantages and disadvantages, main categories and types of devices including their technical specifications, limits of digital technology. Practice with choosen digital technology.
- AV recording and reproduction analogues and digital chains including praxis.
