- Course objectives
- The seminar focuses on major trends in Czech politics since the mid-19th century to 1918. Attention will be paid to the following topics: Czech politics in 1848, the restoration of political and community life in the monarchy at the beginning of the 60th years, the Czech constitutional program, the relationship between Czechs and Germans in the monarchy and the increase of the Czech-German antagonism, activation of Czech policy in the 80. years, the formation of modern political parties, the development of the franchise and democratization of political life.
