A seminar is focused on the overview of methods used for the Palaeolithic research.
Syllabus
  • 1. Overview of methods of fauna and vegetation analyses
    2. Geological and sedimentological methods of soft sediment analyses
    3. Overview of method of the past climate reconstruction and the division of the Quaternary
    4. Methods of dating
    5. Problem of the radiocarbon data calibration
    6. Methods of the documentation of archaeological situations in the terrain
    7. Using of computers for techno-typological analyses
    8. Using of refittings of the lithics for the Palaeolithic research
    9. Raw materials in the Palaeolithic
    10. Methods of the documentation of archaeological findings
    11. Analysis of the spatial distribution of both archaeological sites and findings
    12. Using of GIS in the Palaeolithic research
