- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to build on the previous seminar, but with a focus on the more practical side - the creation of bachelor's and diploma theses, its specific problems and possible difficulties.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will gain the ability to compile a thesis and formulate its individual components.
- Syllabus
- 1. Stylization of professional text I. (reminder of main principles). 2. Stylization of professional text II. (styling errors). 3. Introduction I. (length, methodological background, structure and "technical" side). 4. Introduction II. (description of material, problems in processing, definition of topic). 5. Introduction III. (determination of the core and marginal area of the DP). 6. Types of interpretation (alibi, monotonous and "tight"). 7. Interpretation procedures (cohesion, explicativeness, objectivity, gnomicity). 8. Citation I. (issues of citations and paraphrases; bibliographic reference). 9. Citation II. (difference of work with professional literature in BP and DP). 10. Accompanying apparatus I. (function of footnotes and explanatory notes). 11. Accompanying apparatus II. (appendices, indexes, final bibliography). 12. Formulation of the conclusion of DP I. (summary of results and fulfillment of the goal of the work). 13. Formulation of the conclusion of DP II. (confirmation / refutation of the hypothesis from the Introduction, the possibility of further research).
