Course objectives
Expand students knowledge of early medieval archeology in the Czech lands. Discussed the issue of ethnogenesis of the Slavs, and fortified settlements of the early Middle Ages. Students will be taught how to score Slavic ceramics observed in the Czech lands. We will learn the new archaeological discoveries Slavic monuments in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The seminar follows the lecture Archaeology of the Czech lands-time fortified settlement, and therefore it is advisable to enroll in both courses simultaneously.

Develop a paper on an assigned topic or interesting locations in the place of residence or the current publication of the early Middle Ages in the Czech lands. The exact topic will be agreed in consultation with the student.
