The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of the beginnings and development of modern art from 1850 to 1945 in the context of the development of other artistic disciplines (film, photography, music, literature, etc.) - The concept of modern art, - Impressionism, - Neo-Impressionism, - Post-Impressionism, - Symbolism, - Art Nouveau, Fauvism, - Expressionism, - Der Blaue Reiter Group, - Cubism, - Futurism, - New Objectivity, - Dadaism, - Surrealism, etc.
