Course objectives
Students knows how to work in a group. They can prepare an educational plan – with a preventive focus for children of different ages. The educational plan is based on thematic areas: anatomy, the emergence of diseases, the technique of brushing teeth, fluoridation and age-appropriate nutrition. Students are actively involved in educational exercises. The knowledge and skill to be learned by children are taught in a playful way.
Learning outcomes
Professional Knowledge: Students knows how to work in group prevention.,p> Professional Skills: They can prepare an educational plan.
General Qualification: Students can work with children and teach them the necessary skills in a playful and fun way.
Competences: They can prepare an educational plan for children of different ages.
Syllabus
  • 1. Antidecay prevention – use of fluorides, oral hygiene.
  • 2. Nutrition adjustment and systematic dental care in prevention.
  • 3. Systemic and topical fluoride application.
  • 4. Techniques of brushing one’s teeth.
  • 5. Intensive hygiene programme.
  • 6. Development of an educational plan.

Credit requirements: 80% attendance at the training (students who could not attend compulsory instruction for serious reasons will be assigned an alternative way of fulfilling their study requirements).
Credit: preparation of an educational plan and its presentation in the group.
