- Course objectives
- LECTURE The course is directly based on information from the subject of Social Pathology I, it introduces a wider range of topics about other socio-pathological problems with the defining of the specific display of socio-pathological phenomena. Emphasis is put on the causes, dynamics and consequences from the point of their negative impacts on society and individuals. The interdisciplinary nature of teaching and learning is maintained. Current scientific knowledge in sociology, psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and psychology, social psychology, psychotherapy, law, criminology, penology, addictology etc. is mainly used SEMINAR The main purpose of the seminar, which immediately follows the subject of Social Pathology II., is to identify issues of social pathology in the practice and the ability to work independently with literature and information in general, especially in processing the seminar work on selected issues and their presentation in the seminar. In this course, students receive information on the practical functioning of governmental and nongovernmental organizations, which professionally solve socio-pathological problems.

1. Prostitution and pornography as a social problem.
2. Sexual deviance, sexual aggression and its impact on the society.
3. Non-alcohol drugs, psychopathology of addiction as a social problem.
4. Alcohol Drugs, psychopathology of addiction from the point of the impact on society.
5. Crime and Drugs.
6. Impulsive and addictive disorders as a social problem.
7. Treatment of addiction (options, institutions, treatment).
8. Impact of sects and mental manipulation.
9. Political extremism and radicalism.
10. Multiple killings
SEMINAR
1. "Hooligans" as a specific form of vandalism.
2. Gangs - the result of social marginalization.
3. Addiction- the only priority of life.
4. Disease from addiction (medical, psychological and medical approach).
5. Mechanisms of religious sects and issues of inclusion of former members of the sects into the society.
6. The negative social impacts of the expansion of organized crime.
7. Political extremism in the Czech Republic after 1989.
8. The background of the political extremism with other socio-pathological phenomena.
9. The role and importance of NGOs in the solving of social problems of the Roma ethnic group and others.
10. Unemployment and its socio-pathological effects.
11. The causes of homelessness and its socio-pathological aspects.
12. Squatting - lifestyle or social pathology?
13. The influence of mass media on the value orientation of young generation.
14. Specifics of serial murder.
