- Course objectives
- After successful completion of this course, students will be able to present the basic system organization of management. They will be able to understand and form opinions on the issues of management in the context of historical development and they will be able to apply managerial competences on practical examples. They will understand the function of basic theories of motivation and leadership in managerial practice. In addition, they will find their bearings in the large area of personnel management, mainly in the various staffing activities. Based on the assigned term paper, they will learn how to create basic analyses of personnel management activities in companies or organizations. Study Outcomes: Professional Knowledge: Students are able to define the basic system organization of management, they can characterize developmental trends in management, describe the basic functions of management, know the essence of individual staffing activities and can specify their meaning. They are well informed on the strategy of human resource management and able to create a basic analysis of staffing activities within a company or organization. Professional Skills: Using the expertise in the field of management and human resources management, the students are able to apply managerial functions on practical examples and they manage to apply modern methods and approaches in the field of human resources management. They actively present their own views or the opinions of their team. They know how to use ICT for organizational, presentational and analytical work. General Qualification: Students can independently decide which functions and methods to use in a selected company, or organization.

- 1. Definition of the concept of human resources. Definition of the concept of human capital, human potential.
2. The personality of the manager and the historical development of its position.
3. Personnel management by lower-level managers
4. Managerial personality and work style.
5. The concept of human resources, personnel management and human resources management. Staffing strategy of modern management
6. Staffing strategy as one of the important functional strategies of the organization. Motivational strategies in personnel management.
7. Organization personnel optimization and human potential development
8. Routine special staffing activities carried out by specialist in personnel management. Search, sourcing and recruiting of staff.
9. Professional adaptation of the staff. Staff evaluation.
10. The structure of managerial approach to human resources.
11. The conditions for effective work activities of people in organizations
12. Managerial ethics.

- The condition for obtaining credit is active attendance at classes and consultations. The elaboration of a selected topic in the range of 4 to6 pages and its defence.
The instructor will notify the students on the topics that have not been fully lectured for them to seek in the compulsory literature or at the e-learning site.
