Course objectives
The course aims to provide students with basic terms in ergonomics, physiology of work and anthropometry. The student learns about ergonomic assessment of workspace, i.e. layout and furnishings of workspace which contribute to sense of working comfort, to utilization of performance capacity (abilities, knowledge and skills) of employee and as is technically possible to reducing or limiting negative effects on health of technological equipment and harmful factors of workspace, especially health care workspace. Learning outcomes: Professional knowledge: The student is able to define terms ergonomics, anthropometry, physiology of work, to explain specific aspects of ergonomics in relation to workspace and work itself. Professional skills: The student is able to choose correct procedure of manipulation with patient. General ability: The student is able to make independent decisions and responsibly choose and apply suitable procedure of manipulation with patient and also a method of work itself in regard to their health. Competence: The student improves and perfects the acquired knowledge of basic ergonomics and manipulation with patients in the course of further studies and clinical practice.
