- Course objectives
- This subject is aimed at enlarging knowledge in the frame of specialized English. The aim is to develop the students in the area of reading with comprehension, listening with comprehension, conversation, use o English. In this part, the word stock will be widen with focus on word building and the ability to use grammatical rules will be developed. Essential part of this subject is specialised English. The topics will correspond to specialization of the students. The topics for conversation and listening will be elaborated according to BBC or other original sources. This section will be focused on communication and development of vocabulary of given topic, next preparation for final oral exam according to PET or FCE rules. The materials will be selected from various sources, e.g. newspaper articles. The stress will be put on all levels of language study: Grammar, Reading, Listening and especially on part SPEAKING The subject is intended for students of Department of public administration and regional policy only.
