Course objectives
The course extends the knowledge of the subject the Introduction to Psychological Theory. Knowledge gained in this course contributes to the perceiving of the specificities of clients in different developmental stages. The aim of the course is to understand the patterns of development, understanding of human development across the life-cycle and importance of fulfying of tasks in different developmental stages. Students will be apprised with the usual phases of life in relation to psychological, social and developmental particularities. Students´ opinion will be confronted within theoretical approaches. The aim of the course is to understand the identity of personality, individual's social roles and determination within the life-cycle. Teacher uses own experiences of psychological practice from the Special Educational Center for Children with Disabilities in both diagnostic and therapeutic area. Students are taught to gain knowledge of life-cycle that can be used during meeting clients in social work. The course develops knowledge of subjects of the Bachalor´s degree program: Psychology in PA and Consultancy and Communication. We try to join the other subjects with items of Master's programs, especially Social Gerontology, Social Problems from the Gender Aspects, Sociology of the Family , Crisis Intervention.

    5th The development of psychological functions. Moral development
    6th Prenatal period and development of person in the newborn period
    7th Childhood - development during infancy and preschool period
    8th School age
    9th Adolescence
    10th Early period, middle and late adulthood
    11th Developmental period of aging and old age. Dying and death
    12th Development of person in the family. Emotional deprivation. Intergenerational relations
