The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of this subject is a theoretical clarificationof the beginning, course and management of crisis situations and clarification of basic aspects of crisis intervention. Students will gain knowledge in basic and special notions of crisis intervention, they will learn how to identify different crisis origins. The students would also gain knowledge of crisis typology (evolutional and situational, Baldwin´s theory...etc) They would diagnose crisis symptoms in cases of children, adults, and elderly people and also a specific crisis in marriage, family, community and in society.

Teacher's information
Students are to read requiredand recommended literature during the term. Tutorials will be negotiated during the lectures, in consultion hours or via e-mail.
Conditions for succesful graduation:
Elaboration in a 5 pages essay of a chosen subject matter. The subject matter is to be chosen by each student from matters of lecturs and then announcement should be sent via e- mail to the teacher within fourteen days. The essay must be sent to the teacher by the 9th week of the term. Used literature - minimally 3 titles from basic literature and 1 title from recomended literature. The basic criterion of the essay´s quality will be showing following abilities: to work with scientific texts with appropriate emphasis on connecting thesis of different authors in a final logical text. The teacher will read the submitted essays and discuss all inadequacies with each student individually. The teacher will schedule individual consultations with students on the revision of essays via email. It is possible to consult uncertanities during the work on essays.. A successful essay is obligatory for signing into an examination.
