Syllabus
  • 1. Pedagogy of leisure time - profile (content, distribution of terminology, methodology)
  • 2. Leisure time - definition, characteristics, semi-leisure time, bound time, semi-educational time
  • 3. Determinants of leisure-time behaviour - theory, models, factors. Possibilities of leisure-time intervention.
  • 4. Personality development of an individual in education during leisure-time activities (use of experiential education)
  • 5. Extracurricular upbringing - functions, goals, dimensions, current concepts
  • 6. Methodology of game activities - selected areas of leadership and management of games, setting rules
  • 7. Game systems - Swiss, master, exclusion, organizing sports tournaments
  • 8. Social environment of educational institutions - youth home, children’s foster homes, school group and school club
  • 9. Intentional and functional forms of education in selected leisure-time centres (youth home, low-threshold facility for children and youth)
  • 10. Leisure-time of seniors - definitions, characteristics, significance, methodology, preventive role, learning dividends
  • 11. Personality of the leisure-time pedagogue - typology, competences, risks associated with educational activities

Assessment methods
Credit full-time study: attendance, completion of assignments at the seminar

Teacher's information
Students perform assignments and continually submit them (deadline determined by the teacher) through the e-learning portal of the announced course. Students can take advantage of the standard possibility of personal consultation held on the days of classroom instruction and consultation via e-mail. Part of the Pedagogy of leisure time course are also guided consultations with mandatory participation of students and the presentation of fragments of their completed assignments and the validation of acquired skills.

The course has an LMS Moodle course at https://elearning.slu.cz/course/view.php?id=127, which is used for electronic communication with teachers and students.
