- Course objectives
- The course objectives is to acquaint students with the legislation and the development of trade law trends and with other forms of public regulation of business in the Czech Republic, including the effects of European law. Attention will be directed to the acquisition of knowledge and skills related to the conditions of creation, changes or termination of licence to conduct business activities. Attention will be paid to the structure and activity of trade offices and relevant administrative bodies authorized to conduct review. In the seminar part, students will apply the acquired knowledge into practice.
- Learning outcomes
- Professional Knowledge:
Students are able to characterize the development of trade businesses in the Czech Republic and basic concepts of trade licensing laws. They know the rights and obligations of business entities. They are familiar with the extent of the review performed by authorized public authorities, as well as with the application of sanctions to remedy the identified deficiencies.
Professional Skills:
Students can independently apply the theory of trade business and differentiate the different types of trades. They can critically evaluate scientific literature dealing with the field, identify and evaluate the key variables of development and current state of trade law. They can work with and evaluate the current situation. - Syllabus
