Course objectives
The course deals with essential abnormalities of pregnancy and childbirth. The main objective of the course is to explain the pathophysiology of these pathological states, their diagnosis, treatment and possible prevention.
Syllabus
  • 1. Premature birth, prolonged pregnancy
  • 2. Care of women with placenta preavia, placental abruption, abnormally invasive placenta
  • 3. Care of women with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy - preeclampsia, eclampsia, HELLP
  • 4. Fetal growth disorders - fetal growth restriction, large fetus.
  • 5. Irregular position and birth mechanisms.
  • 6. Breech presentation, multiple pregnancy.
  • 7. Fetal hypoxia, diagnostics.
  • 8. Porodnické operace.
