- Course objectives
- The aim of the professional practice in the first year of study is to promote orientation in various organisations with performance related to social work and social policy and with their key characteristics such as their mission, teamwork or work with clients. The course consists of two parts. The first one is the actual internship, which in the completed 96 hours will allow students to get acquainted with the environment of their possible future profession. It will also help them to verify their existing theoretical knowledge and to gain practical experience. These two objectives will be facilitated by their cooperation with their supervisor in an organisation. The professional practice extends the opportunity to stimulate the process of identification of students with the profession and also gives the student the space to capture management, methodological, conceptual and analytical work, including the skill of project activities or direct work with the client.
