Course objectives
The course provides an outline regarding the development, activity and history of political parties and their programmes and partial systems in central Europe in the 20th century. The development of political movements, parties and ideologies and their transformations in the central European countries will be followed in the period from World War I till the rise of communist regimes and beginnings of cold war at the end of the 40´s of the 20th century. The attention will be paid to destruction and decline of political party system in satellite regimes of sovietised central Europe in the period of two political blocks, first crises and attempts of reform of communist systems in central Europe from the 50´s of the 20th century till the period of fall of communism and beginnings of their transformation after 1989.

Teacher's information
Written essay on selected topic or issue with use of minimally 5 sources regarding the topic approved by the lecturer. Oral exam focused on testing the knowledge of both general context and concrete realia.
