Course objectives
The main aim is to portray complete outline of fundamental phases and the most important facts of economic, social, political and cultural development in the area of present Germany stressing selected issues of modern history. The students will gain basic findings about development tendencies and inversions which marked history of historically changing companies living in our nearest neighbourhood. The questions regarding issues of older German history will be dealt with respect to highlight a role of more general civilisation factors in dynamics of social structures, institutions and ideas in German settlement territory, more detailed attention will be paid to individual thematic circles from the verge of the 18th century and especially then in the 19th and the 20th century.
