- The course teaches students basic Latin grammar and specialized medical terminology in extent which is prerequisite for the study of other specialized subjects.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction to Latin, phonology, morphology, prepositions. Pronunciation, stress, length, reading Latin text.
2. Nouns First and Second declension.
3. Adjectives First and Second declension.
4. Verbs I.-IV. conjugation.
5. Nouns Third declension - imparisyllabic. Nouns Third declension - parisyllabic. Nouns Third declension - addition - specialized terminology.
6. Revision on Third declension - particularities of this declension pattern.
7. Vocabulary, specialized terminology.
8. Anatomical vocabulary and nomenclature.
9. Adjectives Third declension - with one ending. Third declension adjectives with two and three endings.
10. Greek nouns First, Second, Third declension.
