Course objectives
The course is focused on reflexion of political philosophy in the 20th and 21st century which reacted to historical-social phenomena with effort to offer new concepts and promises with the aim to release an individual and the society from their misery or to protect it against the upcoming disaster. A modern and contemporary political philosophy then became intellectual laboratory in which the principal concepts, definitions and views were developed and tested in accordance with the normative anchorage of the existing system of the state administration, government and ideologies or the new and alternative views, ideals were created in the same field, of which fulfilment was expected. In the frame of this course, the students will be presented the most important topics of modern and contemporary political philosophy and their relations to topical events in the political field and suggested options at the ideal-political horizon.
