- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- Seminars in social psychology link thematic and content on lectures of social psychology. Emphasis is placed on independent and creative work of students. Students are acquainted in practice with the methods of psychology and social interaction games, demonstrations, training and practice methods and techniques.
- Syllabus
- 1. The problem of human adaptation to the living environment - adaptation and adjustment.
2. Social learning - the conditions of effective social learning, types of social learning, learning by shaping, supporting learning, social learning products.
3. Interaction - diagnostic methods and styles of interaction - interaction and self-assertion in social life; interaction as a transaction.
4. Social perception - problems in knowing and judging people, the problem of perception of other people's behaviour (attributions and perceptual stereotypes), the possibility of cultivating perceptual skills of teachers.
5. Social prejudices.
6. Socialization and its failure.
7. Sociodrama, psychodrama.
8. Sociometry - sociometric survey, preparation of the application of the sociometric questionnaire.
9. Sociogram, sociometric status, group structure and substructure.
10. The school class as a social group. Possibilities of the application of existing socio-psychological knowledge to the teacher's work (prevention ) with the class as a group (the atmosphere and climate in the classroom, management styles and interactions, prevention of risks of adverse effects of group, etc.).
