Studenti se seznámí s aktivizací jakožto specifickou intervencí do života seniorů. Na přednáškách jsou studenti seznámeni s nejrůznějšími aktivizačními postupy a socioterapeutickými činnostmi, které mohou zlepšovat soběstačnost seniorů a posilovat jejich psychickou i fyzickou kondici a smysluplně naplňovat jejich volný čas. Dále bude předmět zaměřena na rozvoj a kultivaci dovedností příslušných aktivizačních technik.
