- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to make the students familiar with the issue of constitutional embodiment of individual fundamental rights and freedoms, the political rights in particular, as well as the issue of their implementation and protection in the field of public administration.
- Syllabus
- Content (all topics are related to the Central European countries):
1. Fundamental rights and freedoms in the constitutions of the Central European countries
2. Freedom of expression and right to information
3. Right to petition
4. Assembly and right to assembly
5. Right to participate in the administration of public affairs
6. Right to judicial and other legal protection
7. Right to have the case considered without unnecessary delay, right to have the case considered in adequate period
8. Public defender of rights
9. Procuracy
10. Courts as deliberative bodies of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms
11. Constitutional complaint as a tool of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms
12. European system of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms.
