Course objectives
The aim of the subject Communication for Teachers is to acquire and deepen the knowledge of students in social and pedagogical communication. The lecture cycle deals with interpersonal communication in relation to personality psychology, verbal communication analysis and spoken word technique. Furthermore, the subject focuses on the analysis of body language, active listening, interviewing, asking questions, solving conflicts in communication and communication in the group. The main emphasis is placed on the specifics of pedagogical communication, the personality of the teacher and his communication competence and communication in pedagogical practice. The aim of the seminars is to apply theoretical knowledge to practice.
Learning outcomes
Expertise: The student knows and understands the basic concepts and concepts from the field of theory of social and pedagogical communication and understands the processes of social interaction. He understands the connections between the psychic properties, the personality of the individual and his / her communications, understands the influence of the personality of the individual and the environment on the communication. Professional skills: The student can use verbal and non-verbal communication tools, can lead an interview with a student, a student or a parent. The student is able to detect barriers and obstacles in communication and effectively solve problematic situations. He is able to use techniques of effective communication, active listening and assertive techniques in conversation to avoid conflict and reduce aggression. Can communicate with different types of pupils and students. It is able to apply the acquired information and skills in practice. It is able to link the acquired knowledge with the needs of the field. General eligibility: The student is able to communicate with different types of pupils, students or parents. It is able to communicate with a group of pupils or students. By completing the subject, the student will be able not only to use his / her knowledge and skills in pedagogical communication, but also to better respond to the needs of individuals and groups and will be able to adapt the communication to their specifics.

Teacher's information
Student will prepare seminar work in the range of min. 3 pages from the field of pedagogical communication, it is an analysis of own communication style, personality typology and analysis of the communication process with a pupil or a group of pupils. In the oral exam the student will demonstrate the knowledge of communication skills with a focus on pedagogical communication.
