Course objectives
The course extends information from the Bachelor's degree program mainly subjects of psychology, sociology, social policy and develops them. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the current conception of gender as a category for a group of characteristics and behavior of men and women who are formed by culture, social roles and are transformed as a social framework. The aim of the course is to explain the theoretical and methodological basis of gender concepts and analysis and apply them to social problems and social policy. The course focuses on the explanation of gender as a social category which reflects and interprets many social problems.

Teacher's information
The main task of the seminars will be introducing of students to the reality of gender issues, analysis of specific problems in society, gender budgeting, etc. Students will be evaluated during the course in discussions over the selected text, based on the presentation of two essays on chosen topics.
