Course objectives
The course is aimed at acquainting the students with practical training. The students are deployed at workplaces (departments / wards) in the fields of primary, secondary and tertiary care according to the study plan (see table - Practical Training Schedule). The practical training lessons are supervised by clinical practice mentors in cooperation with expert supervisors of clinical practice at the Nursing Institute. (Each expert supervisor / nursing teacher teaches in such area of practical training in which he/she is a professional, and he/she is responsible for clinical supervision over the practical training of the students in that area.) The clinical workplaces (departments / wards) for teaching and training of students are chosen based on specified standards. The course acquaints students with the issues of individual clinical departments (wards) and workplaces. Within the practical training, the students trains in standard nursing wards / departments and intensive care units, as well as at special nursing units.
