Course objectives
This course aims to introduce students to the methods, subject matter, and perspectives of sociology. What is Sociology? What is Society? Traditions of Sociological Thought. Sociological Thought of 20 century. Logic of Sociological Inquiry. Socialization, Socialization Process, Agents of Socialization. Family and Marriage. Social Structure of Society and Social Interaction. Culture and Subcultures. Social Control.
