Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to adequately specify the general knowledge of general teaching methodology and apply it in the primary prevention of pathosocial phenomena. Also the mission of each course is to provide students with plenty of ideas and support their creative elements. Graduate will be able to separately process the pathosocial phenomenon for the needs of elementary and secondary schools in the form of a preventive program.
Syllabus
  • 1. Defining the basic conceptual apparatus: pathosocial phenomenon, summary of selected pathosocial events, their characteristics, scope and impact on society.
    2. Searching procedure of pathosocial phenomena and monitoring tools to map the terrain.
    3. Didactics of pathosocial phenomena. Defining the basic conceptual apparatus. Relationship to general didactics.
    4. Selected didactic principles and their application in the didactics' system.
    5. Overview of the basic organizational forms and their application in the didactics' system.
    6. The application of various teaching methods in the didactics' systém
    7. Activation methods. Incentive games, brainstorming, mind maps.
    8. Designing primary prevention project. Program dominants.
    9. Project teaching. Socially pathological phenomena and its prevention.

Seminar classes
Assessment methods
Use knowledge from the classes to prepare a Powerpoint presentation and essay in the form of research of the problematic behaviour (prepare a presentation for 45 minutes). The presentation should reflect student's ability to analyse and prepare activities which are beneficial as a prevention to the problematic behaviour. Extra points for activities that the student was able to test out in real life.
