- Course objectives
- The course introduces students to the political and economic aspects of integration in Europe. It describes the development status of the economy of Czechoslovakia in Europe since its inception to its accession to the European Union and its contribution to the integration efforts. Process and institutions Association of the Czech Republic into the European Union, including the temporary integration of CEFTA are discussed in detail. It characterizes the impact of involvement of the Czech Republic the concept of economic policy and its economic development. The course also introduces the participation of the Czech Republic in the activities of the EU institutions and the opportunities and anticipates the Czech Republic's accession to the monetary union. The course also introduces students to current developments in relations of the Czech Republic to the European Union.

- Attendance in seminars - min. 60 %, seminar paper on an assigned topic in the range of about 10 pages, active speech at the seminar on the issue. If the student does not fulfil these activities, then will be given an additional task.
