Course objectives
The aim is to clarify the issue of education and health sector in economic terms. Economics of Education is included in the system of sciences, explaining the basic economic aspects of education, which is defined in terms of the theory of goods. Attention is also paid to the development of education in the context of the European Union. After completing the course, students will be able to understand the problems of the current education system, acquainted with the principles of management, financing and control of the system. Students will be provided with basic knowledge about the mission, functions and processes of the health system. It pointed to the economic nature of the medical services, the allocation of market failure in health services, will be clarified demand for health services and offer health services, their characteristics and regulatory instruments. Students will familiarize themselves with the functioning of the health system of the Czech Republic, with its management and financing, the structure of services.
