- 1. Business environment
Business environment refers to those aspects of the surroundings of organizations, which influence the functioning of entrepreneurial activities. The surroundings of the organization are continually changing. The success of an organization depends on its alertness and adaptability to changes in the environment.
2. External business environment
External factors are beyond the control of the organization. External environment includes factors outside the organizations which can provide opportunities or pose threats to the enterprise. Macro environment, industry, market.
3. Internal business environment
Organizations are affected by internal and external environmental factors. Internal environment includes internal factors of the organization which can be controlled by the organization. Internal environment refers to the environment within the organization.
4. Global business environment
The global business environment is broader environment than the business environment in a particular country. A significant part of the global business environment is the world economy. The objective of the topic is to understand (and identify) forces that shape the global business environment.
5. Analytical methods of business environment
Analysis of the business environment is the study of various components of environment affecting the organization. It is the process by which organizations monitor their appropriate environment to identify opportunities and threats affecting their business. The analysis becomes an essential step towards corporate planning and business policy decisions. Particular analytical methods used for the analysis of the internal and external environment (macro environment, industry, market).
6. Evaluation of the quality of the business environment
Evaluation of the quality of the business environment on a national level. Evaluation of the quality of the business environment on a regional level. Competitiveness and attractiveness of the country and region.
7. Business environment of transnational companies
Organizations that are involved in international business will deal with a variety of regulatory regimes. The contemporary business environment is governed by both national regulations and multilateral rules. It is crucial for transnational companies to understand both how the international institutions operate and they array of trade regulations which one is likely to be faced with when undertaking commercial relations across international boundaries.
8. Business environment of family businesses
Family businesses are crucially important for the global business environment. The business environment in the family business has some specific features. These specifics are given by blending of ownership factor, management factor and family factor.
