Course objectives
Level - A 2.1 pre-intermediate The course is aimed at the acquisition of knowledge and skills sufficient to address the basic situations in the sphere of professional language. The course forms foreign language habits with students so that after its completion they will be able to understand the normal expressions of social contact and be able to apply them. They are able to understand and respond in normal everyday situations aimed at the sphere of tourism, learning new towns and cities and countries, tours, sightseeing, free time spending, hobbies, interests and so on. In the foreground there are competencies for professional dealings by obtaining professional knowledge and social competences based on the examples from tourism. The course also includes training strategies in the lexical grammar, reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension and speaking areas with an emphasis on intercultural competence.

Teacher's information
The course is completed with an ongoing written or oral test and course credit test.
Students have the opportunity to gain 100 points as a maximum, while for the credit they have to obtain at least 60 points. Students who are repeating the course are not required to have a 60% attendance.
Students may enroll part 3, if he/she successfully completed parts 1 and 2, or if he/she is studying parts 2 and 3 at the same time.
