Cíle předmětu

The goal of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of organizational behavior at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Students will become familiar with the major theories, concepts, and contemporary approaches used to explain behavior within organizations and public institutions. They will learn to analyze how individual characteristics, motivation, leadership, communication, organizational culture, power relations, and organizational structures influence organizational effectiveness and employee behavior.

Students will develop the ability to critically evaluate organizational processes and management practices in both private and public sector organizations. Particular attention is devoted to understanding organizational behavior in the context of public administration, including decision-making processes, bureaucracy, ethics, public service values, and organizational culture within public institutions.

The course also examines contemporary challenges affecting organizations in the twenty-first century, including globalization, workforce diversity, digitalization, virtual collaboration, and the gig economy. Students will develop analytical and problem-solving skills that enable them to assess organizational issues, propose evidence-based solutions, and evaluate the implications of managerial decisions for individuals, teams, organizations, and society.
